Do you ship internationally?

Is it compatible with first generation iPad?

No.

Is it compatible with other tablets?

No, iPad 2 and the New iPad only. Institutional and large corporate customers requiring modified versions of WindFall for alternate uses and other tablets should contact service@hecklerdesign.com.

Can I use WindFall for unattended, "Kiosk" scenarios?

We recommend WindFall for attended scenarios such as retail POS, trade shows, and secure corporate environments. A determined thief with the correct tools can remove the iPad with a few minute's work. Institutional and large corporate customers requiring modified versions of WindFall for alternate uses should contact service@hecklerdesign.com.

Will the Verifone SAIL card reader fit WindFall?

Will the IDTECH iMag Pro card reader fit WindFall?

No. Unfortunately, the front face of the iMag Pro protrudes far forward of the iPad's face, therefore the WindFall frame blocks its use. Will the iDynamo reader work for your implementation? One work-around is to connect the reader to the iPad via a 30-Pin extension adapter or short extension cable.

Will the Eventbrite reader fit WindFall?

No. Unfortunately, the front face of the Eventbrite reader (a rebranded iMag Pro reader) protrudes far forward of the iPad's face, therefore the WindFall frame blocks its use. One work-around is to connect the reader to the iPad via a 30-Pin extension adapter or short extension cable. We are in contact with Eventbrite in hopes of developing a better solution.

Will the PayPal PayHere card reader fit WindFall?

No. However, our alternate WindFall version, called "WindFall C" works beautifully with PayPal Here reader. WindFall C is currently in pre-release. To purchase WindFall C today, please contact service@hecklerdesign.com.

Is it compatible with the Intuit GoPayment card reader?

We suspect not. That reader's barrel shape may be obstructed by Windfall's frame.

Hey, no slick cord management like OneLessDesk? What gives?

As WindFall was developed as POS stand, I felt that "the freedom to pivot and slide" without power cord interference was most important. We tested running on battery power with two WindFalls at a busy ice cream shop for over 1 month. Over 12 continuous hours of Square Register use per day, we were easily able to run on battery power. "Plug in the iPads" was added to the store's nightly procedures.
